This review is long overdue. My husband and I got to dine here as a work reward, and it was a magical evening. From the delightful patio to the 10+ courses to being able to watch the kitchen staff work to the excellent hospitality, we enjoyed our experience so much! It was more food that we could possibly consume, and we got the alcoholic drink flight as well. Our favorite course was the elote pasta with fresh corn- and we were able to order seconds of that dish! They were great with modifying dishes for my husband's mushroom allergy. Would love to return one day!

GOOD SERVICE. CLEAN. QUALITY OF FOOD GOOD. TASTE MID. GOOD SERVICE: I don't know about other times but this was a 5 hour long michelin style dinner. The waiter and all staff were really friendly and very attentive to everything needed. It was outstanding. CLEAN: Everything was so clean. Bathroom, table, food area, the kitchen areas in the kitchen all top notch. QUALITY OF FOOD: The actual quality of the food was immaculate. I can't think of anything wrong with it. TASTE: I liked about 1/2 the dishes. Maybe it was too fancy for me or just not the right taste to me. the dishes we had during the entire night were all with different ingredients and challenged my taste buds.

Had one of the BEST dining experiences at 2023 Michelin Star winner, The Kitchen Restaurant. An exclusive dining experience like no other, that was interactive, educational and a pure culinary dream. Chef Gio and his team delivered an exceptional dining service with palatable dishes that were prepared so beautifully. The amount of detail and thought behind every dish was so specific, this is what made every dish so, so special. If you are given the opportunity to try this restaurant, I highly recommend it!

If you haven't already heard, the kitchen is worth it. The Kitchen curates an experience unlike any other. Family style care radiates through the dining floor as guests are encouraged to explore everything from what is cooking in the chefs pan to what the dishwasher is up to. The service is unlike any I have ever had and they take great care in their recommendations. A very special dining experience! Be prepared, it is at least 4 hours. You will be more than full and they will make you food if you aren't full at the end! It really does feel like you're getting together with a big family. Thank you for a memorable experience with incredible tastes, a lively atmosphere, and stories to remember for years to come.

Food and service is top tier. The concept is so fun and as a first timer, I was more of an observer but if I ever have an opportunity to go back I will be more interactive in the kitchen because it is a part of the experience! However for me it was a 4 star experience. I was seated at the counter which was great to see everything happen in front of you, but it is very difficult and awkward to get up and out of your seat and walk around. Traffic behind your chair is always moving so it's hard to find the right time to exit your seat. Some of the cocktails were a little strong for me personally so I am relieved I did not go with the cocktail pairing So many courses you leave beyond full. But the dessert was delicious!

Once again they out did themselves. We had the pleasure of visiting for the winter menu as we celebrated 3 birthdays. I was excited this time since i could enjoy everything not pregnant this time around. I first ordered a drink- forgot the name but i know it was bourdon and thyme. I enjoyed it and being i haven't had a drink in so long it had me feeling pretty good. The winter menu was heavy on the mushrooms. I enjoyed most however the group i was with there were some no's for them. They tried the items but the staff noticed right away that they would rather have other options and that they did. Doubled up on items we liked &opt out of those we did not seem to enjoy. That was great of the staff to take notice early on and provide options. Will i be back of course, it's my goal to try each seasonal menu they offer!

I have been wanting to come here for some time and I finally had the opportunity to come with a small group of friends & fam. My hopes and expectations were through the roof, given the idea of it being a fancy michelin star restaurant. Once the doors opened we were taken to our table and I was immediately shocked with how hectic it felt inside the small but sleek restaurant. Our servers took our drink orders (I got the Mocktail selection, which is extra on top of what you pay, which I expected). Once dinner service was going to be started the head chef greeted the entire restaurant at one time. He was kind, happy and overall warm in his speech to begin the night. He explained how the night would go and invited people to take a look around and in the kitchen I've loved the thought of this but found myself a bit too shy to do anything crazy. The staff was kind and attentive -- lol everyone you get up they retold your napkin for when you come back to sit lol. The food was good but I also have to admit.. my reservation was just a day or so after I had a bad case of food poisoning, so my stomach couldn't handle too much. But there was NO way I was missing this opportunity lol. Though the food was tasty it wasn't mind blowing. And I found the premise of "do what you want/we'll make anything for you" really cool but also a little intimidating, for me. However, overall I loved this experience and for anyone who is wondering if they should come here, I say YES. Be prepared for a set menu and to come with an open mind to what is served. Not everything you may be familiar with but is worth to try everything at least once. Don't think you won't be full, cause you will! Lol you can also order more than one of a dish you like at the end of the night.

Recently, I had an opportunity to visit their new location on Broadway. Slightly a different dining experience from their previous location in Arden Arcade. The Kitchen provides a top-notch dining experience. Staffs will go above and beyond to ensure you are having a great time. Amazing food, excellent service.... great company! What else could you ask for? I do miss the old spot though, located next to Taco Bell and Laundromat. I remember using the bathroom at the laundromat escorted by a security guard in the middle of dinner. That was unforgettable in a good way. I highly recommend this restaurant. Bon Appetit :)

Finally got to experience eating at The Kitchen and everything was so good! I actually dined here during their last week at their old location in July. I loved the energy from the chef and the food was spectacular. The chef really encourages people to walk around so don't be afraid to walk around and check out the restaurant. When we arrived, they toured us around the kitchen and had many appetizers for us to try. During dinner, we got about 7 courses and also other items such as chips and this refreshing green drink. One thing I love about the kitchen is that you can ask for seconds! So if there is a dish that you absolutely loved, don't be afraid to ask for more. I actually asked for more of the BLT dish that we got. That was one of my favorites and it was so good. I would love to come back again and visit their new location and sit at the chefs counter.

The toughest part of this review will be keeping it reasonably short and concise - there's simply too much to say about The Kitchen to cover in a brief review. Buckle up, I'll do my best. The occasion: My mom's 80th birthday. One does not simply decide Friday afternoon to eat at The Kitchen Friday night - reservations are required and typically booked (and paid) three to four months in advance. I booked a party of six - my mom, a guest of hers, my sister and her husband, myself and a guest of mine. Booking and paying so far advance can be a challenge! There ended up being a couple changes to the guest list between the time I made the reservations and the date of the dinner. It all worked out well in the end, but it's probably not a bad idea to have a couple people on standby just in case someone in your party gets sick or whatever. All six of us opted for drink pairing options - four of us (including myself) chose the cocktail pairing and the remaining two (including the birthday girl) chose the wine pairing. Yes, this added quite a bit to the cost, but we wanted to get the full experience and not trying to pinch pennies. This *was* a very special occasion as I'm guessing will most likely be the case for most people coming here. If someone exists who comes to The Kitchen on a weekly (or even monthly) basis - kudos to them! But for most of us mere mortals, I see this as an occasional place reserved for special occasions. For many, it will be the most expensive meal they've ever paid for. Our total bill, including the initial reservation, drink pairings, tax, tips and so on worked out to over $400 per person. Of course this is all relative - the $$ I mention may be a shock to some and no big deal to others. I've paid more for a meal... but this is up in the stratosphere with the others. But... in my opinion, it's worth it and obviously many others agree because reservations are sold out for months! Enough intro - this place gets so many item-by-item detailed reviews, I'm going to hit what I feel were the highlights. - The staff are well trained and well briefed: as mentioned above, it was my mom's 80th birthday... and *several* members of the staff mentioned that fact throughout the night... from the minute we walked in the door all the way to the point we were leaving at the end of the night. This was impressive... especially considering the fact that there were dozens of similar special occasions throughout the dining room that night (and any night). - Chef Kelly McCown has the right mix of voice projection, personality and edutainment. He's genuinely good at his craft - he's not afraid to push the envelope a bit with humor (including poking fun at competitors like French Laundry)... he's definitely part of the overall experience. - I've been to several top restaurants and meal experiences... some costing more than this one... but The Kitchen stands out to me in the level and encouragement of interaction throughout the venue and meal -and- the general "if you want more of anything, just ask". We tested this more than once during the evening... including at the very end while others were leaving (more on this later). - The stand out "WOW" of the night that everyone in my party agreed upon WASN'T EVEN ON THE MENU! Talk about throwing us a curveball. Don't interpret this to suggest things on the menu weren't good... but a simple unassuming shot glass full of cream of mushroom soup (I'm sure they had a fancier name for it - but like I said, not on the menu)... was AMAZING. Who knew that such depth, complexity and richness of flavor could be packed into a shot glass? Just... wow. This was the item everyone was talking about days later - and of course, we all asked for another shot. - My personal favorite items were the Dayboat Sea Scallop and the Roasted Beef Tenderloin. I asked for seconds on both as did my brother-in-law (HE can put down some food!). The Tenderloin is the item my sister asked me to order more of at the end of the night - after dessert was served and some people were leaving. Yes, THAT late! She knew that her hubby wanted more but he was being too polite to ask for more... so I got up and tracked someone down in the kitchen and politely asked for two more tenderloins for him. I was greeted with a very pleasant "of course" from the staff. Things got a little tense for a minute with brother-in-law once a waiter delivered a new knife and fork to the table... and BIL glared at me with a "what did you do to me" look in his eyes... but two more tenderloins were delivered, and he later mentioned that they were the best of the night. I'm running up against the text length limit now (as I knew I would) so going to wrap this up - in sum, it was a great night and unforgettable experience for all of us! Highly recommended for special occasions.
